It wasn't even mentioned in this year's Sundance Festival catalogue, I and you and probably most of the world hasn't seen it, but Banksy has made a movie entitled "Exit Through The Gift Shop". The L.A Times have reviewed it, and oh so subtly poured scorn on the whole project but I will reserve my judgement until I do, if ever catch this slice of graffiti cinema. The problem doesn't seem to be so much with Banksy as the non-professional film maker Guetta, aka Mr. Brainwash, here's a comment from Banksy on the ability of his partner in his first and perhaps only movie…
Guetta isn’t really a film-maker but “maybe just someone with mental problems who happened to have a camera.” “Mr. Brainwash is a force of nature. He’s a phenomenon. And I don’t mean that in a good way…”, “Maybe it means art is a bit of a joke,” Banksy says near the film’s conclusion. “Trying to make a movie which truly conveys the raw thrill and expressive power of art is very difficult. So I haven’t bothered,” Banksy said in a statement to The Times e-mailed from his publicist, Jo Brooks. “Instead this is a simple everyday tale of life, longing and mindless vandalism.”
Doesn't bode well for the Oscars then.

Still it hasn't stopped Banksy's most ardent fans from queuing in 15-degree weather outside Park City’s 446-seat Library Center Theater, hours before “Gift Shop’s” 8:30 p.m. screening. Coming to a cinema near you soon, if they can bag a decent distribution deal. More likely straight to video and then ripped and seeded across the net before you know it :/
