* Brownout (electricity) drop in voltage in an electrical power supply, so named because it typically causes lights to dim.
* Brownout (aviation) reduced flight visibility due to airborne particles, especially from helicopter downwash.

Perhaps not quite out for the count, but Gordon Brown is most certainly a contender for one of the most useless leaders Britain has ever had to bear, I'm not keen on the competition either to be brutally honest, but with one thing and another, MPs' expenses, and the befuddled political action or rather lack of it to create anything close to a semblance of clean government I thought I'd chip in this Shepard Fairey inspired piece entitled 'Hopeless'.
