Yay someone local heh. I think I emailed you a year or so ago about doing some prints? Anyway I’ve been held up by damp throughout the house, spent 10k fixing it, working off that debt and will try and begin again next year :/ Do let us know when you have a site up! I could probably do with a refresher next year too.

Hey,
Been setting up our studio in Hastings for the last 6 Months, Been producing Posters and done some lessons. Should all be done by Christmas but you know how these things go!
Noticed this is an old post, How yer getting on? Did yer set up yr own space? Keep us posted.

Hey, I hope you have found your printing bed,
We are now in the same position as you were.
We want to set up an A0 screenprinting bed to make some nice prints and also to print wheat-paste posters on newsprint, large scale stuff,
but trouble is it seems too big, where do you get A0 screens & B&W acetate masters A0size in Brighton.
If you hear of any big screen beds for sale, give us a heads up would ya.

Hi Samson, you need to start with a local course and begin printing after that by renting a share of a local studio.

I guess, here I come too as a novice in the screen Printing world. I live in Lancashire and in dire need of a screen printing outfit that can give me a short training for me to kick start myself in the biz. Having work as a careworker for 7 to 8 years with no happiness, loads of thought came to me… like I need to do something fast with my life. I need something I can do with the confines of my home, something I have passion for, some creative things that people will appreciate. I think I found myself at a crossroads when it dawned on me that no one wants to help me.. I got to reach out. I really need to do all it takes to achieve this dream…pls pals I need advice asap.

That’s good to know – The Print Club is great! I had a printing phase at Brighton and am going through another one now lol. Thanks for the power washer offer I’d probably never let go of it so had better buy one myself. Thanks for the feedback and encouragement – I hope it all works out for you too Jane!

I am booked in at the print club next Friday.
Hardly did any at all at Goldsmiths and have been basically designing magazines since then
I have a power washer. Very welcome to borrow it.

Lol Jane – I know in that way it sucks down here doesn’t it? I mean, the sea air and the beach is nice, but when you ask around for something less than usual everyone’s like “go to London, go to Brighton…” still at least it’s quieter hah.

The Print Club is great fun, very useful, but rather far away. You maybe better off setting up on your own eventually. I’m currently waiting for a delivery of 5L of rust cleaner to salvage a print dryer rack, have a jet wash to buy, then I’m ordering a whole load of emulsion, inks cleaners etc. and should have my studio set up by September!
